Hornsteinar architects proposal in a two-step competition for cycling and pedestrian bridges across the river Elliðará in Reykjavík was awarded a special mention. The main purpose of the competition was to search for new ideas for a new connection in the fast growing network of pedestrian and cycling pathways around the city. The competition was held by the city of Reykjavík and the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration in cooperation with the Association of Icelandic architects
